Circle to launch new smart contract platform

Circle has announced the launch of two new products enabling web2 developers to create and deploy decentralized applications easily. The Circle Gas Station and Circle Smart Contract Platform products will provide developers a way to access USDC balances and transactions on multiple blockchain networks. The product will support multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Algorand, Stellar, and others, allowing developers to choose the best fit for their use cases. Fintech firms Circle and Mercado Pago have announced a strategic alliance to introduce the USDC stablecoin to Chilean customers. A U.S. payment company, Circle and the biggest online payment platform in Latin America, Mercado Pago, announced a strategic collaboration to introduce the USDC stablecoin to customers in Chile on Aug. 29. Circle To Continue With Its Public Listing Plans Despite SEC Action

Back during the crypto bull run of 2021, Circle announced its plans to become a public company through a merger via a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC). But last December 2022, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire said that they “did not complete the SEC qualification in time”. However, Circle executives told earlier this year that going public was a key part of the company’s strategy. But the company is still not sure on the timeline of its public listing. Speaking to Blockworks, a company spokesperson added: “We are not prepared to put a specific deadline on the decision, but we will be taking steps to continue our journey to go public as soon as practicable”. Also, a job posting by circle , looking for corporate counsel hints at these plans.
