Ethereum developers deploy Dencun update to Sepolia testnet

Ethereum developers have successfully deployed the Dencun update to the Sepolia testnet. The hard fork includes several tools that are designed to reduce fees on the Ethereum blockchain, while additionally providing new opportunities for bridges and stabilization funds. This was not the first attempt to deploy the update to the test network, however, as developers did not provide launch details, but noted that Sepolia has been update d to Dencun. Inscriptions craze buoys zkSync over Ethereum mainnet in 30-day transactions

Ethereum’s network was outclassed by a layer-2 scaling solution in monthly transactions for the first time. zkSync processed more transactions than the Ethereum mainnet in the past 30 days, according to L2beat data. Over two dozen former employees of Ethereum infrastructure firm ConsenSys have filed a fresh lawsuit against the firm’s founder and CEO, Joseph Lubin, over claims he diluted employee equity shares against earlier promises. The former staff allege that Lubin — who is also a co- founder of Ethereum — breached this “no-dilution promise” made in 2015, according to the plaintiff’s Oct. 19 filing in a New York Supreme Court. The SEC has been delaying its decisions regarding spot Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. However, this has not stopped companies from expanding their ETF offerings. Valkyrie received approval to convert its existing Bitcoin futures ETF to a two-for-one investment vehicle. Now, the company has started buying Ethereum futures contracts. The fund’s new strategy to combine BTC and ETH will formally come into force on Oct. 3, 2023. The ETF name will change to Valkyrie Bitcoin and Ether Strategy ETF. Nevertheless, the ‘BTF’ ticker will not see any updates. By adding Ethereum exposure to futures contracts, Valkyrie becomes the first U.S. ETF to provide investors exposure to Ether and Bitcoin futures contracts under the same umbrella. A spokesperson for the company revealed that Valkyrie was the first to get approval for the ETH Futures ETF , among other firms.
